The dog’s interest and capability to balance sheep is what is referred to as instinct. Since the instinct is the basis of sheep dog training, a proper evaluation of this quality is a good place to start. During this session, I explain the principles behind sheep dog training and expose your dog to sheep in a safe and educational environment.
Whether as part of a structured program or occasionally to work on a specific aspect, private lessons are available at our Tribute Sheep Dog training facilities only. Our property offers multiple fields and pens for every facet of training.
Capable handlers can rent sheep on an hourly basis.
Whether to start a dog or work on a specific aspect, I board and train dogs here on the Tribute Sheep Dog training facilities. Daily exposure to proven methods accelerates the dog’s progress for the trials and the farm.
Consult our dog section to see if I have dogs available. As I know several reputable breeders and handlers, don’t hesitate to reach out with your specific needs for me to help you find the right dog for you.
If you can't make it to our facilities, you can send me a short video of you training or trialing for us to break down and analyze via virtual meeting.
